Watching the Watchmen
No comic book-to-film series could be complete without Watchmen, the most celebrated graphic novel of all time. Writer Alan Moore and artist Dave Gibbons set out to create a comic book depicting a world changed by superheroes and created a graphic novel that changed the literary landscape. Watchmen was hailed in TIME Magazine as one of the 100 best novels since the beginning of the magazine in 1923, and fans waited more than 2 decades for the incredibly-cinematic-but-(almost)-impossible-to-film novel to finally reach the silver screen.
This film will complete our Super Summer Comic Book-to-Film Series with a special screening at Kingdom Comics at 5 p.m., July 15th. This will be an adults-only screening of the R-rated film.
What and where is Kingdom Comics? and How do I get there from here?
