Our March Adaptations Title: Big Miracle by Tom Rose



Based on the incredible true story:  An animal-loving volunteer and a small-town news reporter are joined by a native Alaskan boy to rally an entire community - and eventually rival world superpowers - to save a family of majestic gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle.

The Color Purple


Alice Walker's powerful novel The Color Purple won both the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the National Book Award for Fiction, and has been adapted as an acclaimed film, nominated for 11 Academy Awards. and a celebrated musical, nominated for 11 Tony Awards. 

The classic 1985 film was directed by Steven Spielberg and stars Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Danny Glover.

Join us for a special screening party Sunday, Feb. 10th at 2:30 p.m. and share the experience.
